Braunton Farmhouse welcomes dogs

Braunton Farmhouse isn’t just for families and groups of friends it is also the ideal dog friendly holiday cottage in North Devon. The large and spacious self-catering property comes with something for everyone; for your four-legged friends, there is a large garden with plenty of space to run around or catch a ball, there is even an easy to access bathroom situated by the rear entrance for washing off any sand or muddy paws, as well as an outdoor tap. By the bathroom there is a tiled area perfect for letting dogs dry off before letting them into the rest of the farmhouse.

When out and about there are several dog friendly pubs within easy reach, including a few in Braunton such as the Williams Arms. There is also an extensive range of walks with the Tarka Trail and South West Coast Path easily accessed in Braunton, alternatively Exmoor National Park is less than a 30-minute drive.

After the October half term and before Easter, dogs are welcome on most of North Devon’s beaches, but during the main holiday season these become more limited. For example, Putsborough, which lies at the far end of Woolacombe Beach is dog friendly all year round, however other areas along the beach do not allow dogs. One beach that is dog friendly all year round is Saunton Sands, which is just a few minutes’ drive from Braunton Farmhouse, other beaches include Ilfracombe, Lee Bay, Lynmouth and Wild Pear.

Please note that Braunton Farmhouse’s garden is not fully secure with direct access to the driveway, which leads to the lane. Please keep an eye on dogs and children when they are playing in the garden.
